The welded plate-and-block heat exchanger is a high-efficiency thermal transfer device that combines the superior high-temperature and high-pressure resistance of fully welded heat exchangers with the easy maintenance advantages of detachable designs. It is engineered for demanding industrial applications requiring stable, compact, and long-lasting heat exchange performance.

The exchanger typically uses a square plate pack formed from thin metal sheets (0.6–1.0 mm). Standard materials include stainless steel 304 and 316L, while titanium, Hastelloy, and other alloys can be selected for harsh operating conditions.
The surfaces of the plates are embossed with corrugated patterns that induce turbulence, significantly enhancing the heat transfer coefficient.
 
Welding Technology
Plates are joined using fully automated laser welding or TIG welding, ensuring high weld integrity and eliminating the need for gaskets. This design prevents leakage caused by gasket aging, corrosion, or failure.
 
Frame Design
The welded plate pack is installed in a robust frame with four-sided or six-sided removable panels, allowing convenient access for inspection and high-pressure water cleaning. This hybrid design preserves the strength of a welded exchanger while offering the serviceability of a gasketed unit.
